From Liberty Street
I started From Liberty Street as a weekly column for The Harvard Square Commentary, a weekly web publication edited by my friend Ernest Cassara. After Ernest retired as editor, I took up the job and kept the publication, along with my column, going for a couple years. But, then, I too became weary, so we decided to shut The Harvard Square Commentary down. By that time, I had become used to doing From Liberty Street every Monday morning, and had even become a bit fond of it. So, I decided to continue with it and have it appear here. Its subject is most often politics, though, at times, I shift off to other topics. My intention is to keep on writing it as long as I can find anything to say.
